Secondary Three Character Education  Assignment (20%)

Title:

Global-mindedness

Introduction: Globalisation (the interdependent world) has meant keener competition as well as many opportunities for Singapore as a country.  The Education system is poised to prepare Singaporeans to do well for themselves and take advantage of being global-minded rather than lose out because of it.

This assignment aims to draw secondary 3 students to reflect upon the avenues available in VS  on global mindedness,  and what opportunities they have taken to help themselves widen their global  outlook in the past three years in Victoria School.

What does being global-minded mean?

Global mindset combines an openness to and aware
-ness diversity of different cultures. It respects how
different countries do things and has the imagination
why other cultures do them that way. But, a global
mindset is also incisive- to push the limits of one's
ownway of doing things.

This project aims to draw secondary 3 students to reflect upon what defines the VS in global mindedness, to assess how this value is increasingly essential to thrive in these times.

At the end of the reflection, students will
